Hop-On-Hop-Off buses in New York

The system of the New York City buses is a very complicated and confusing one, so it is not recommended for tourists to spend time trying to understand it; instead we recommend that you take the subway or tourist buses.
How it works: the map on the left (clickable) shows all possible routes and bus schedules, you can ride all the day long on these buses, visiting attractions that you are interested in. Taxicabs of New York City

Taxis (cabs) are not in great demand among tourists as it is much nicer to ride on the tourist buses described above. The cost of travel by taxi is calculated per meter, plus payment for toll tunnels and a mandatory tip for the taxi driver of around 15%. If you ask the driver for the price of the taxi ride, the driver will quote you a price that excludes the tip and tax so that you are not scared by the price.
